It's Bach, It's the Olympics, It's Bach, It's the...

Dear A,

  I've received the CD and I confess that  it took me almost a week to pop it into the player and listen to it. That's very unusual, but hey, nothing beats the Olympics!...Not in my books...
  Yet, I didn't want to let it gone unacknowledged, so: "Thank you very much, indeed. It was a great surprise that you thought about sending me this wonderful CD recorded at Trinity. Ahhhh...that's music!..."

  I chose to post my "Thank you" note right here, on Morse and Nobel, where you found my me, when you "stumbled upon" my post "Concerts at One" - Trinity Church.....and that's how you contacted me, as one of the people who puts together the programs at Trinity Church.
  My readers can see now, that what I endorse here is what I like and enjoy for myself; and I write about it genuinely, on this on-line/scrapbook diary. Instead of knowing people and then being "oiled" into writing about them or their work, I do exactly the other way around, first I write about whatever arrests my imagination at a given time, and then I get to know the people related with the specific event; all in a very serendipitous, not-staged, organic order. Works for me, no doubt!..
  These days I am so much into the Olympic Games from London, that I would rather listen to the soundtrack of "Any Given Sunday" and simply call it "Any Given evening, for 17 days".
  It's amazing how sport mirrors life....I can't have enough of it...
  Last, but not least, thank you, again, as I'm lovin' it!

{Quote of the week}

  "I had a great bike ride today!"
  The city is relatively calm and I almost got run over because there is so much room that every idiot who drives is speeding on the streets of Manhattan. It was a very close call, indeed, as a cabby said. Well, I'm still here.
  Yeah, that's all I got to tell you for now...
and when I got home I "stumbled upon" this blog. Don't you love an original blog? I know I do...
