I can't help myself not to "hit the drums" about a book coming out in the next two days (March 25th) and the title of my post explains what motivates me to do it: "For the Love of My Bike", of cycling and all those beautiful people around the world who know how to bike in style....
The only thing which really surprises me is the author: Horst A. Friedrichs. Personally, I am not familiar with his name (although I searched him and he is not at his first book about cycling!). It did make me rise a brow seeing that his book (which, is already on sale in Europe and UK) comes out ahead of the naturally expected book, on the same topic, from the "guru" photographer of Cycle Style: Mikael Colville-Anderson. Anderson basically invented the concept, just like Bill Cunningham invented the concept of "snapping" stylish pedestrians.
Anderson, a strong believer in bike commuting, started a few years ago, by posting his photos of stylish people on bikes on Flickr; than, he grew into a blogger and ended up a word renown speaker on the subject. If you have a bike and bike with your slacks and your high heels (as I do!) you know who/what I am talking about!!
If you don't yet, it's never too late! Here is his Flickr page where his world-wide journey as the stylish cycling evangelist started: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16nine/sets
Horst A. Friedrichs has a gorgeous (as such to be expected, for a photographer!!) website here: http://www.horstfriedrichs.com where you can see all his books and previous work. After looking at it, I know I want those all for my art book collection !!

*****In the mean time, Cycle Style by Horst A. Friedrichs landed on my "must have books list".
It appears to be a looovely book so, bring it on!

** At the very bottom of each page of Morse And Nobel there is an Amazon widget where I post only books that are a "must have" and some of those which have already became " I have them". I believe it to be some of the best titles any fashion lover "must have" and I share them with, as I update it regularly. Some titles are really hard to find, and especially at reasonable prices, and because are out of print; these usually "make an appearance" on Amazon marketplace.
